Us websites redux
If I have something scripted why not run it a lot? I made a script to get the names for .us sites and the words you could make with sub-domains. Although none of the good ones are available..
I did the same thing for .de .be .ms .ag .at .net .nu .uk and .ws

Website last shot
So I found a good list of the Top Level Domains. I then put that in a file tld.txt (in svn). I also found a WORD.LST file (Not in svn) that was about 1.8 megs. Not to big but it covered a lot. I then tweaked the script to read in from tld.txt and search my word list file. Check out the 111 files now in the svn! The largest file is es then ng,er,ly...
Back up
I have the site back up. I under went 2 big changes.
1) After seeing the mod rails talk I found out that dreamhost supports it. So like a good person who cares about their website I switched over. It took longer then expected.
2) I am now running rails 2.1. Once mod rails was running I was getting an error around my smtp server config. I figured why not just update to the newest rails.
These updates are not without changes to the front end. I removed that calendar I wrote. I need a new way to page my data. I will come up with something else. How about a rolladex ?
