Tuxedo
At my local coffee shop yesterday I told my barista that I did not want the usual. I want something with lots of coffee and it can not taste like dirt. So she came up with a new drink for me. Its call a tuxedo. It is a 1 shot of regular coffee, 1 shot of white coffee, milk, ice, and some white chocolate.
White coffee is a coffee that is roasted to the yellow color. I believe this means that the bean has not burned off the caffeine or sugars. This also means there is a raw nutty flavor and a bitterness. What is nice about this drink is that it is countered with a shot of regular coffee and white chocolate.
But I now have a new goal. As I researched what white coffee is I learned that it is not something that is brewed. I think I can make a coffee blend that uses white coffee, robusta beans, and arabica beans that can be good enough for a French press. After I am done with the rest of my current set of beans I should know my roaster well enough to pull this off. I might not know enough about coffee types but not knowing stuff never stopped me before.
