I just bought the first season of xfiles on dvd. Other then the opening titles the series is as good as I remember. After all I was only 11 when the first season came out. Although I would love to talk about how wonderful xfiles was or when they "jumped the shark" [That's right we are bringing back the phrase] but I am here to talk about a more important subject. The layout. of a dvd. I have seen very nice dvds and some very poor dvds.
What does becker mean by layout of the dvd? I am talking about the menus, the special features, and the navigation. I did think that the magic behind a pleasant dvd experience was a big secret.
- Simple menus
- Play All button
- Default to play on a video
I think these are the necessary parts of a dvd make a dvd nice. To be a great dvd it would have nice special features like audio commentary. I love that futurama has audio commentary on every episode. Even if the people are just laughing at there own work. It would be nice if a tv series would make a dvd that just played all the shows back to back. I know the intro to the shows and i know what the credits look like. It would be a nice option. Also a random episode play would rock.
